Homeward bound... (end of vacations!)

Tomorrow we will be back in Campinas. Time to go back to work, after a month of vacations in Manguinhos beach...

In our luggage, memories of some sunny days and of quite a few rainny days; of nice sunsets and dawns, of quiet nights ("of quiet staaaars..."), of noisy carnival days; of birds and bird songs; of the sound of waves breaking on the shore, day and night; of blue and gray skies; and, of course, memories of the special moments that I tried to register in my photos...

It was not easy to get a good photo of "our" hummingbird, which used to visit our garden everyday in the morning and late in the afternoon. But I tried hard... Hope you appreciate this picture (click on photo for a blow up of this little guy...)!

And...since I'm posting a photo of a hummingbird from the state of Espírito Santo, I thought our Mean Readers might want to to visit the site of the Museu Prof. Mello Leitão, in Santa Teresa (click here). The museum was founded by biologist Augusto Ruschi, well nown worldwide for his research on hummingbirds.
